The American Institute of Guitar (AIG) is New York City's premier school for guitar in all its forms. Hailed by Guitar Player Magazine as "New York's oasis for guitar," the school continues its 30 year tradition of providing the finest guitar lessons available.

AIG is the core music department of the International Studio of Music (ISM), with over 80% of ISM students enrolled in some form of guitar study. Through its alliance with ISM, the American Institute of Guitar is able to maintain its long standing reputation for excellence, while offering its students expanded opportunities to supplement their studies through ensemble classes, recording facilities and training on other instruments.

AIG has long been regarded by both professional players and students alike as the place to go for the study of guitar.
