Teaching Philosophy/Methodology

I base my teaching on theory and technique and the application of these to actual songs & pieces to help students develop as complete musicians.

I use tunes that students want to learn to teach them about chord progressions, different chord voicings, the applications of scales to those progressions, the study of melody, melodic and rhythmic motifs. I expose interested students to different styles of music.
